After an unusually long wait, news is beginning to filter through regarding a Bob Dylan tour in 2013. The only confirmed date so far is on Saturday, April 13, at Convocation Center at California University of Pennsylvania. The venue is a modern 6,000-seat arena. The support act is said to be American rock band the Dawes.

Information about this concert appeared on Ticketmaster’s website without any prior warning. The site lists the onsale date for the public as Saturday, March 2, at 10:00 a.m. EST. A special two day “CAL U” pre-sale begins Thursday, February 28 at 10:00 a.m.

A further concert is rumoured, again with the Dawes as support, on April 8 at the Ryan Center in Kingston, Rhode Island. This show was seemingly listed on the Ticketmaster site but was quickly taken down. The Ryan Center is a 7,657-seat multi-purpose arena in which Dylan has previously played in 2002, 2004 and 2007.

Other news: After several requests from customers, we can now confirm that there is no catalogue available for The New Orleans Series at this time.

The publisher for the Revisionist Art catalogue has informed us that copies have now been shipped from the US ans should be with us before the end of March.

The Editors of Rolling Stone magazine have compiled a Bob Dylan “Special Collectors Edition” (“40 Years of Rolling Stone Interviews”). The cover photo is the same as the November 22, 2001 Rolling Stone (issue 882).

The edition, published February 15, 2013, includes a “definitive” list of the “100 Greatest Dylan Songs”, as chosen by a panel of artists, writers, and Dylanologists. It also features “over 40 years of classic Rolling Stone interviews, along with Dylan’s aphorisms, words of wisdom, and shifting opinions on everything from religion to the Sixties to being misunderstood”. Also included are tributes from Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bono, Lucinda Williams and more.

Currently, we can only find this item advertised for sale by Barnes & Noble in the USA. It should also be available on news stands.

Bob Dylan has yet another art exhibition; this time in Italy.

“The New Orleans Series” contains paintings inspired by photographs. The works are set in 1940s and ’50s New Orleans and to my untrained eye they look like some of the best work he’s done so far.

Staged at Royal Palace, 8 Piazza Duomo, Milan, the exhibition, which runs from Tuesday February 5 to March 10, contains 22 works produced between 2008 and 2011. Dylan is quoted as saying, “I paint for people almost like a tailor makes a suit for someone”.

Dylan arrived in Milan at the weekend and assumedly viewed the exhibition on Monday, the day before the paintings were on show to the public.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a film festival dedicated to Bob Dylan–

17.00: Renaldo and Clara

21.15: I'm Not There

Saturday, March 2

15.00: Masked And Anonymous
